Kaitlyn Rhoades, MS | Founder 

Before starting OnPointe Training, Kaitlyn was a professional ballet dancer. She worked with prestigious companies such as ABT, Joffery, Milwaukee Ballet, and Nashville ballet, but she wanted to pursue an even bigger dream: to promote health and happiness.

As Kaitlyn was dancing, she wanted to learn as much as possible about the human body and exercise. She strives to continue her education every year, never allowing her knowledge to become stagnant. OnPointe Training is a company with one great mission and that mission is to make you happy and healthy!

Melissa Maglaque, PT, DPT, OCS | Physical Therapist

Melissa has her doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers University and is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.  A New Jersey native, she grew up as an athlete and rehabilitated from an ACL repair at a young age, which immediately sparked her interest in physical therapy and began her career in injury rehabilitation and prevention.  She has 10+ years of experience treating a diverse population of clients who participate in a variety of sports and activities.  Since moving to San Francisco in 2013, Melissa found Pilates to be the perfect compliment to musculoskeletal healing and recovery.  By implementing manual therapy, functional exercise and pilates-based principles, she strives to ensure that each client reaches their ultimate goals, allowing them to return to doing the things they love.  Melissa enjoys continually learning new treatment methods and incorporating evidence-based interventions into her practice; therefore, facilitating her clients to achieve optimal health and wellness.  When she isn't busy doing physical therapy, you'll find Melissa exploring San Francisco with her husband and son, cycling or doing pilates!

Wenner Exius | Pilates Instructor

Wenner’s mom said he started writing and performing shows in the living room at the age of 3; he suspects he was more like 5. With a growing flair for the narrative arts, it was no surprise he became a writer for and eBay Inc. as well as a copywriter for ad agencies like Digitas Lbi, Energy BBDO, and Razorfish.

However, his passion for storytelling isn't limited to a pen and paper: He began dancing in 2001, learning to tell stories through ballet and contemporary styles, but after a severe leg injury in 2011, he lost confidence in his body and found it difficult to recover physically.

After discovering Pilates, Wenner began a journey to rebuild and reclaim his body. Now that he's one of our instructors, he’s learning to read the human body and help rewrite its stories through proper health and wellness. Wenner is currently in training for certifications in Pilates and Wellness Coaching. He also serves on the board of the Laurel School, helping to shape the wellness of children with learning difficulties.

Wenner moved to San Francisco from Montreal, by way of Chicago, where he received a B.A. in Communications from DePaul University. And, on occasion, he can still be found performing shows in his living room.


Rachel Lewis | Pilates Instructor

Rachel found Pilates six years ago after suffering from a foot injury that prevented her from doing the high-impact activities she enjoyed. She immediately fell in love. After working for seven years in the public relations and marketing fields, Rachel decided to pursue her passion for Pilates and began her STOTT Pilates teacher training. She became fully certified in July 2016. Rachel had a son in May, and Pilates helped her stay fit during pregnancy, and regain her strength after birth. She has a particular passion for helping pregnant ladies and new moms. 

When she's not at the studio, you'll find Rachel cooking (and sharing some of her Paleo recipes on, sweating it out in spin class, visiting family in her hometown of Santa Cruz, and hanging around Hayes Valley with her husband and son.

Gillian Ashdown | Pilates Instructor

Gillian’s fitness journey began in high school while she was captain of the cheerleading team. She quickly realized the importance of posture and strength while throwing and catching her teammates during half time. Naturally, she found her way into the octagon last summer when she won her first MMA fight. 

Gillian officially entered the professional fitness world teaching cardio kickboxing while she earned her BA in Political Science at Pace University. Soon after, she took on operations and management for a boutique fitness studio in New York before moving back home to London.

While training Muay Thai kickboxing, she suffered injuries which held her back from competing. Luckily, she discovered Pilates in London and has never looked back. After healing her own body through her practice, she has dedicated her career to Pilates. She now is an active competitor in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA.


Aimee Reynoso | Pilates Instructor

Aimee found pilates by complete chance when she was a senior in college, after borrowing a roommates workout dvd and being shocked at the results she saw after a few months of low impact/body friendly workouts. The idea that you can be kind to your body while strengthening it, totally revolutionized her outlook on exercise and life. 

Formerly a long distance runner, her passion for pilates catapulted to the next level when her hips decided they wouldn’t put up with pounding pavement anymore, and she’s been in a happily committed relationship with pilates 10 years this month! Aimee decided to pursue her passion by embarking head first on a career in pilates by pursuing her comprehensive pilates teacher certification through Balanced Body, an internationally recognized program run through EHS in the Mission. She’s been learning and teaching for the last 18 months. 

When not doing pilates, Aimee can be found making online advertising magic happen at YouTube, seeing concerts with her husband and friends, or running (speed walking, actually) through Golden Gate Park.

Evan Oneill | Pilates Instructor

Evan Oneill is a certified instructor on all Pilates apparatus as well as Mat. She has been teaching for several years in NY, NJ, LA and now the SF bay area,. A professional actor, dancer and stuntwoman for many years, Evan was soon in constant pain due to the damage sustained during her physically demanding work.

After years of strenuous pull on her body, Evan hurt all over...until she discovered Pilates. She immediately connected with this form of exercise and began to heal herself from the inside out. Pilates not only gave Evan her physical life back, but helped her regain her love for movement in all forms.

Evan focuses on health oriented, high energy, hands on tutelage. Exercise should extend life and be enjoyable; Pilates incorporates this concept by working towards flexibility and strength, stamina in conjunction with control, and breathing thru all movement. 

As well as Pilates, Evan is also a writer and activist. She lives in Petaluma, and enjoys walking her dog in the Sonoma hills.
